I've just read the "impression" from a recent MRI of my brain (because of inner ear problems to eliminate concern of tumor) and see that I have "moderate supratentorial white matter disease" and "mild signal abnormality in the central pons." It also says "Differential considerations include the sequela of chronic small vessel ischemic disease and vasculitis."
Can you put this into language I can understand? Thanks!
The report suggest there are multiple signal intensity changes noted in the white matter and central pons. This findings are seen in the demyelinating disorder, But if the findings are also seen in the age related changes - due to small vessel occlusion causing ischemic changes. ( due to systemic diseases)
Similar findings are also seen in systemic diseases, chronic alcoholics and vascular pathologies.
This is not an emergency, though you can get some blood softening agents. Good luck.
Any thing to ask, do not hesitate.
